Environmental Policy

Stone by Design Ltd is committed to leading the industry in minimising the impact of its activities on the environment.

With due consideration to the increasing awareness, not only of the global situation but more

particularly those of our own local environment, Stone by Design Ltd will ensure that every

effort is made to comply with all applicable legislation including any local concerns, throughout the

design, manufacturing, supply and installation of precast concrete units.

As members of the community, Stone by Design Ltd share its concerns and make every effort to

ensure that we minimise any adverse effect our operations have on the environment.

Prior to any process of production of precast concrete, we require authorisation from the relevant Local Authority.

The authorisation and a programme of upgrading called for and implemented

provide us with our legal authority to operate.

Stone by Design Ltd has a commitment to safeguarding the environment as outlined in the

following policy statement:

Environmental Policy Statement

It is the aim of this policy to:

• Comply with all existing environmental legislation.

• Commitment to pollution prevention through regularly reviewing waste and water control.

• Minimise waste by evaluating operations and ensuring they are as efficient as possible.

• Minimise toxic emissions through the selection and use of its fleet and the source of its power requirement.

• Actively promote recycling both internally and externally amongst its customers and suppliers.

• Promote waste management and waste segregation through regular environmental

       awareness by undertaking tool box talks and training.

• Take environmental issues and factors into consideration in any new developments and

       improvements made.

• Improve and monitor information regarding the environmental impact and record of the company.

• Respond to the needs and concerns of the community.

• Continually improve the environmental management and performance by undertaking external audits at waste supply

• Monitor the environmental impact of the business and strive to continually improve the

       working practice of the business.

• Never to compromise on environmental issues to achieve other company objectives.

• Regular review of the environmental policy to ensure its continuing suitability and effectiveness and that it will be made available to all relevant stakeholders as appropriate.

• Appropriate training and resources will be made available to implement the above policy.
